Congratulations To Rescue a Million's 2007 Young Heroes of the Year!

At the United Nations Headquarters on May 24th, 2007, Rescue a Million recognized the winners of our 2007 Young Hero of the Year awards. Rescue a Million's 2007 Young Heroes of the Year: Chanelle AdamsChanelle has been able to improve the quality of her community by spearheading cleanup days and teaching other young people how to do the same in their communities. James Quadrino James has implemented a program to save birds within his local community whose native habitat has been destroyed. Dara Shore Dara has helped save manatees and started a program to educated other young people about how they, too, can make a difference. Rescue a Million's 2007 Young Heroes School of the Year: Churchill School Churchill School has gone green, thanks to the inspiration and dedication of the schools Green Team. The student body has also raised almost $25,000 for one of Rescue a Million's project partners, Heifer International. Three outstanding student leaders represented the student body at the event. The accomplishments of these young heroes are truly extraordinary. They are examples to us all of what is possible when we deicde to take action and make a difference in the world! |
